2020 has indeed been one of the most bizarre and challenging years, and although it is finally coming to an end, our work to serve you never stops.
As the holidays are often a time for exchanging gifts, why not see if you have an unclaimed gift of your own!? There are millions of Americans who have unclaimed property, with some estimates as high as $80 Billion or more of assets that are waiting to be claimed. Fortunately, searching for these assets can be quite simple, using individual State’s official databases.

Go to your home State’s official website and do a search for it’s unclaimed property portal. You can input your name and see if any of the corresponding results are a match.
A couple of tips to help – make sure to check each State that you’ve ever lived in, current or past, and do searches including maiden names and former addresses. Sometimes, this can help to uncover more potential assets.
We’ve personally had family members find a significant amount of unclaimed property lately, and we would urge you to try it out and see what you can find. It’s quite fun to look up with the whole family when you’re all together over the holidays, whether in person or virtually. It can even become a game to see who the biggest winner is by finding the most unclaimed property!
